About couple weeks ago, I was lucky that I got free give away ~ a manual book about Reading Tarot Cards which wrote and provided by Sandy Cee, a Psychic Reader & Spiritual Healer from Spirit Connection, Australia.

As wrote before, I am not resonating yet to use Tarot as my medium for card reading. But reading Sandy’s book however gave me a lot of reminder of some wisdom how to do an appropriate reading for people and also how to treat the deck with utmost respect. Any deck of cards that we choose is actually the same; they are not only as matter a tool or physically as printed cards. They are the medium that we use for communicating with our inner or spiritual guides to pass some important messages for people who need it.

For some readers, the deck finally felt like a special friends or partner. That is because readers have a full trust that the deck would be a medium among the “conversation” with spiritual guidance that they received.

I would like to share some tips that Sandy wrote on that books about how to treat the deck or cards in good way. Beginner or people who bought the deck without learned a proper guidance about using cards maybe had missed some important guidance how to treat the cards.

First, Sandy remind us that “Whether you are reading for yourself, or friends or family, they must always be treated with the same respect”.

Here the three basic roles that Sandy underlined.

"Keep them away from other hands, keep remain in your ownership at all times". Well, this is what I always do. I never let other touch my cards but only when it necessary to do, (for example when they have to shuffle the cards). As most of my reading with cards is using visual kinesiology, they almost no need to touch my cards. For the cards that need to be shuffled by my clients, I am using essential oil and essence to clear up the energy. If your friends or client is curious want to see your cards, you can explain that the cards are for your spiritual needs. I am sure they would understand.

"Keep them in a nice place". Sandy wrote that a lovely satin or velvet pouch would be a best choice where cards can “live” in warmth and coziness. You can keep them on the pouch so it will protect your deck and keep it clean as well. I storage my cards on their box and covering them with satin scarf that I also use as the “mat” for spreading the cards, and then put them on canvas pouch as I am traveling often with them. I also sprayed with aura spray and essential oil. If you don’t have the nice packaging yet for your deck, at least make sure that you keep them in nice way and storage.

"Learn to decipher each card correctly". Each deck usually gave a manual book about the meaning of each card. Since the messages which given for every person is possible would be individual messages, it’s very important to learn and understand well the basic message of each card and then enhance your intuition to understand other specific messages which given during the session. Each card has basic meaning which you could use as a first guidance. But remember what I wrote before about do reading...never analyze.

There are other tips from Sandy that I still wanted to share here. Soon… : )
