I read a posting on my friend FB's wall which discus about how greedy the spiritualist or reader who charge some money for their session. They compared that the healers used to never ask for money but only expecting their client bring some offerings/flowers/canang.
I used to never charge any to anyone who use my service. Some of friends treat me for coffee or lunch as reward to my reading session and I was happy enough for it. When one by one my mentors or spiritualist starting asking me to charge some fee to my clients, I was a bit confuse. I was thinking that since my capability is intuitive one, gift from Highest Devine, why I should charge them? But then I realize I was wrong.
People are often under estimate “profession” as spiritualist /healer. People compared them/us with medical profession. Doctors deemed worthy of getting payment for their expensive education, while healer capability is often considered obtained by easy and free process.
Some spiritualist or healer indeed intuitive one, but does not mean we did not make some efforts. They forget that the spiritualist healer or doctor actually do the same. Many of us made a lot of efforts by spent time, energy and money to learn more about health and spiritual knowledge. It even could be more expensive than the cost of medical school. Some of us travelling aboard to join to some retreats, training etc, not to mention providing some tools or remedy which rare and very expensive.
So what is the reason spiritualist or healer charge for some money?
The money which charged to client is actually used for the benefit of patients as well. Just like doctors, we also need money to provide facility and equipment. Without a space and some services and with no income either, how we can help more people? If we have to continuously serve as a healer or a spiritualist, meaning that we dedicated to this work but we do still need money for survive and run the healing center. We would like to help more people but we do also need a balance life about take and give.
Yesterday, I met Jero Ayu Yuri, a young lady who is known as one of spiritualist highly respected by Bali’s Hindu clerical establishment. She lives near Besakih.
This wonderful healer also reminded me to not have to feel guilty if I asked my client for some money. That is what we call as energy exchange. Some reasons are like I mentioned above. Other reason is it to appreciate the intuitive capability which given by Highest Divine for us. Some people are being chosen by Highest Devine to help people by working as healer or spiritualist; and deserve to get some reward from it. The energy exchange also needed as a value of that healing process itself for clients.
Energy exchange also important did by the client because they need to express their gratitude, both to God and to the healer as the channel. Without this energy exchange, according to the mother Jero, all energy or process is actually futile. Without energy exchange, the healing process is has no value. When there is no value, there is no benefit, both for the healer who transfer the energy and for the client who accept the energy. The client possible could not get maximum result from that healing process and we are as energy transfer also actually did not contribute any. That is the “natural system” of this universe.
“Respect what you have, respect what God give to you and to people trough you. Teach your client to respect it too. “, remind Jero Ayu to me.
So if some people thinking that they suppose only bring some flowers offering as a reward, maybe they forgot that even vegan or vegetarian people are don’t eat those flowers for lunch.
